To the west of the village of Trypiti lies in a small valley the ruins of the Catholic monastery of Isova.

One of the most important Gothic monuments in Greece. It is a building of Cistercian monks, who arrived in the Peloponnese during the Frankish occupation. A second Catholic monastery of the same order is the Zaraka Monastery in Stymfalia.

Impressive in size and characteristic of Gothic architecture, it was built in 1225 and destroyed just 40 years later, when it was burned by Byzantine troops.

The remains of the impressive building stand behind the church of Agios Nikolaos. It is a large building, the length of the church exceeds 40 meters, from which the northern wall and the west arch have been preserved. Single-aisled basilica with two-tiered roof, and typically stained-glass windows. To the north of the temple are traces of the monks' cells.
